I was born and raised in NYC, came to Washington DC and currently live in the Washington, DC area.
July 11, 1991 I decided to become a professional photographer. I studied at Winona School of International Photography, the school of the Professional Photographers of America. After investing a week at Winona I worked as a photographer for 2 of Washington’s premiere photographic studios. During that time period I had the good fortune to photograph President Bill Clinton, General Colin Powell, Bill Cosby, Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, Liza Minnelli, Larry King, Wynonna Judd, Carrie Underwood, Nelson Mandela, Ralph Sampson, 3 Presidential Inaugurals, The Leukemia Ball, the Redskinettes, the Redskins and many others.
In 1995 I established Brathwaite Photography and amassed a client base including, General Dynamics, Ernst & Young, Sprint, Verizon, PGA Presidents Cup, DNC, RNC, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Major League Baseball, Credit Union National Association, Lansdowne Resort, The Washington Hilton and Towers, Omni Shoreham Hotel, Deloitte and many others.
